Adult Basic Education (ABE)

ABE classes are foundational classes. They build your skills in key areas to help you gain confidence and improve your basic education. They also set you up for success in education, career, and life.

*ABE Classes prepare you for success in the ASE Program, but they cannot be credited as High School Diploma classwork.

Adult Secondary Education (ASE)

Secondary education means high school-level classes. Taking these classes will count toward earning a High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate.

Program Description
High School Diploma Our 100% online HS Diploma (HSD) program is open for enrollment year-round. If you are an adult with work and family responsibilities, we can help you earn your HS Diploma. All students work with an AEVA counselor to develop a personalized learning plan. Personalized instruction helps students to refresh and refine their academic skills and achieve their goals.
High School Equivalency A High School Equivalency (HSE) certificate shows that you have the same knowledge and skills as a high school graduate. Equivalency also opens doors to education and employment opportunities. AEVA offers the same commitment to support you with convenient 100% online classes and your own personalized learning plan. We can also help you unlock free HiSET testing.

How many classes do I need to take?
HSD Take only the classes you need to complete your diploma. First, we check your transcripts so we can give you credit for your previous work. Then, we create a personalized learning plan to help you finish the rest. Whether you choose Independent Study or Teacher-Guided classes, all classes are 100% online with a fully-credentialed teacher. 
HSE Whether you're looking for a quick "pre-test refresher" or seeking more in-depth support, we are here for you! First, we help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. Then, your teacher works with you to become test-ready for any subject you need. Your teacher also provides test-taking strategies and plenty of practice so you will feel more confident to pass.
