This competency-based and standards-aligned course is part one of a two-part level in a series of six learner-centered courses designed to develop High-Beginner A (Level 2A) communicative competence and build skills in:

Instruction, tasks, and projects in this course are designed to help adult English learners develop essential language skills and content knowledge related to their civic, educational, and career advancement goals, and to support their successful transition to High Beginner B (Level 2B) ESL.
